Writing & Statistical Tutoring

The Graduate Division has hired two Ph.D. students for the Spring 2017 semester to help other graduate students with theiracademic writing and statistical analyses for coursework and research.  The tutors are available to read over writing and statistical analyses, provide corrections and feedback, and point out relevant resources.  Because students need to do their own work, the tutors cannot write or run analyses for students.
The tutors have standing office hours starting on January 30th each week for students to seek help and guidance on a walk-in basis.  Walk-in office hours will be held in the Graduate Division on the 3rd floor of SSB 310, and the times are as follows:

WRITING TUTOR: Gina Palefsky
Walk-in office hours:  Mondays 2-4p, Wednesdays 3-5p

STATISTICS TUTOR: Maryam Tabatabaeian
Walk-in office hours:  Tuesdays 12-4p

In addition to walk-in hours, each tutor is also available to help by appointment.  To make an appointment, please email gradtutor@ucmerced.edu and put “stats” or “writing” in the header to route your email to the right tutor.
