Arts UC Merced Presents: Alice Bag Concert + Fatty Cakes and the Puff Pastries

Arts UC Merced Presents Brings Punk Legend to Merced Arts UC Merced Presents is thrilled to welcome the legendary Alice Bag to Merced. Bag is a punk rock singer, musician, author, educator and feminist archivist. She was lead singer and co-founder of The Bags, one of the first wave of punk bands to form in the mid-1970s in Los Angeles. Her self-titled debut solo album was released in 2016 on Don Giovanni Records. Doors open for her concert at 7 p.m. Friday, April 7, at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center, 645 W. Main St., Merced. Music from Fresno, grrrl-gang band Fatty Cakes and the Puff Pastries starts at 7:30 p.m. This concert is free and open to the public. It is presented by Arts UC Merced Presents and co-sponsored by UC Merced Center for the Humanities, UC Merced’s School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts and the UC Merced Office of the Chancellor.
