Front-End Web Development Workshop: Introduction to Javascript

The Web Development Workshop Series is geared toward an introduction into how websites are designed and created. Students will learn about markup languages, such as HTML and CSS, and get an introduction to programming languages such as JavaScript. They will also learn about how to make a website live, and server-side interactions. This workshop will cover how to implement user-side functionality through scripting events by the use of the JavaScript programming language. Here, attendees will learn about JavaScript syntax, as well as obtain an introduction to the principles of programming by learning the use of variables, classes and objects, and how to make them functional in a webpage.
