Gender, Sexuality and Queer Theory Symposium

The second annual Gender, Sexuality and Queer Theory Symposium brings together five panels of scholars to discuss their research and its relation to the conference theme, "Queer Citizenship and Vulnerability: Beyond the Carnal, Against Criminalization and Toward Living—Well.” In addition to the five panels, there will be two keynote addresses. Dr. Stephanie Arel will give a talk entitled “The Trauma of the Queered Child: Broken and Banished Bodies Looking for Home.” Dr. Eden Wales-Freedman’s talk is entitled “‘A Free Radical’: Eve Sedgwick’s Queer Witness in A Dialogue of Love.”
