Join us for a talk by Assistant Professor Aditi Chandra about 19th and early 20th-century landscape design around a 12th-14th century mosque complex, called the Qutb, in Delhi, India. Learn about how landscaping, garden design, and ideas of the picturesque aesthetic transformed this mosque complex into a modern monument for touristic consumption by British colonialists. Discover the fascinating documents and images unearthed during archival research in Delhi and London that reveal this story.
