The Energize Merced conference, hosted by the Solar Energy Association at UC Merced, takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 on the UC Merced campus. Registration begins at 8 a.m.
Students and professionals from all over converge at UC Merced to collaborate and form new partnerships, develop professional and technical skills and learn about developments in renewable energy.
The day includes speaker sessions, workshops, poster sessions, and networking opportunities with both academic and industrial representatives.
Energize Merced is targeted toward undergraduate students, but warmly welcomes all professionals, students and interested people.
Energize Merced strives to not only educate about the energy revolution but to empower participants to be a part of creating a world run by renewable energy.
Free parking will be available on campus. Events take place in the Classroom and Office Building 1, Room 120.

The Solar Energy Association at UC Merced is a project-based student organization, with ongoing projects, workshops, outreach events and info sessions regarding solar energy technology and careers. As the newest chapter of the American Solar Energy Society, SEA strives for a sustainable and clean energy future by preparing the leaders of tomorrow and serving as a central source for students to gain knowledge and progress toward careers in the renewable energy industry. SEA will provide students with the necessary tools for skill development, leadership growth and professional advancement.
