User Experience in the Technology Industry
What is the role of a human factors and user experience researcher in the technology industry? This talk will cover insights on user research during product lifecycles, key skills found in the trade, and comparisons between academia and industry.

Yi-Fang Tsai, Ph.D. (Human Factors Engineer, Apple)
Prior to being a Human Factors Engineer at Apple, Yi-Fang Tsai worked with several companies in the Bay Area, taking on versatile roles as a user experience researcher, project manager, and designer with the goal of creating intuitive designs, impactful products, and making systems efficient. She holds a Ph.D. in Human Factors and Applied Cognition from George Mason University and Bachelor's degrees in Cognitive Science and Economics from UC San Diego.
