GRADUATE CANDIDATES

Spring and Summer Candidates

Master's and doctoral degree candidates graduating as part of the Summer or Fall 2025 class are able to participate in the Graduate Division Commencement Ceremony. PhD candidates will be hooded by their faculty advisor as part of the Commencement ceremony. The office of Graduate Division will help coordinate with your faculty advisors as needed. In order to participate in the Fall 2025 ceremony, please ensure you have applied to graduate with the Office of the Registrar and registered to participate in Commencement with Graduate Division.

Graduation Application and Commencement Ceremony Dates: 

• Summer 2026 Graduation Application – May choose to participate in Spring Commencement OR Fall Commencement 
• Spring 2026 Graduation Application - Must participate in Spring Commencement

**Please note that students are required to participate in the ceremony concurrent with the semester they apply to graduate. No exceptions will be made. 

GRAD FAIR

The Spring 2026 Grad Fair will be hosted on Wednesday, April 8th and Thursday, April 9th in the Conference Center from 9am - 5pm. 

Grad Fair is an opportunity for graduates to receive information on tickets, parking, take graduation photos to purchase, order regalia, class rings, flower leis and more. Please continue to check your UC Merced email addresses for additional updates and communications.
