Ph.D. candidates will be hooded by their faculty advisor as part of the commencement ceremony. The Graduate Division will help coordinate with your faculty advisors as needed. In order to participate in the fall 2022 ceremony, please ensure you have applied to graduate with the Office of the Registrar and register to participate in Commencement by Dec. 9.
- Have applied to graduate for Summer 2022 or Fall 2022, you are eligibile to walk in the December 16 Commencement Ceremony.
- Complete the Graduation Application via the Registrar's Office. Please note that completing the application does not confirm your commencement participation.
- Access the Graduation Application via the steps below:
- Go to mystudentrecord.ucmerced.edu Note: If the direct link does not work, type "mystudentrecord.ucmerced.edu" into your browser.
- Click "Secure Login."
- Then click the "Student" tab.
- Click "MyStudentRecord."
- Click "Graduation Application." This will land you on a page titled "Curriculum Term Selection." Please read all the information on the page.
- Press submit to move into the Online Graduation Application.
- View Submitted Graduation Application.
After submission, students may view their submitted Graduation Applications through My Student Record.
- Follow same steps above.
- Then click "View Graduation Application" near the bottom of the page.
- Complete the Commencement Registration via the Graduate Division webform.
