This Q&A session is open to all undergraduate and graduate students interested in applying for a Grace Hopper scholarship (application deadline has been extended to April 4).
The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing is the world's largest gathering of women technologists. It connects, inspires and guides women in computing and organizations that view technology innovation as a strategic imperative. This year, the conference will be held October 18-22 in Houston, Texas.
Grace Hopper Scholarships are available for undergraduate and graduate students to attend the conference. Information on how to apply is here.
Students who apply will also have a second chance for travel funding through UC Merced if their scholarship applications are declined (more information forthcoming).
Three members of our campus community will be at the session to help and support students who would like to apply:
- Valerie Leppert, Associate Professor in the School of Engineering
- Mina Naghshnejad, Graduate Student in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
- Bhaswati Sarma, Application Developer in the Information Technology unit
