The Graduate Division is seeking applications for graduate students to serve as peer mentors as part of the GradEXCEL Peer Mentorship Program. The peer mentors will guide incoming doctoral students in their own programs as they navigate their first year. Mentors will receive up to a $500 fellowship for their participation during the Fall 2025 semester.
Requirements:
- Be a continuing doctoral student (preference will be given to students in years three and beyond).
- Be currently enrolled in 12 units in your graduate program.
- Be in good Academic Standing
- Be able to participate in a 2 -hour mentor training and meet and greet.
- A current graduate student in one of the following participating graduate groups:
- Applied Math
- Chemistry and Biochemistry
- Cognitive and Information Sciences
- Environmental Systems
- Materials and Biomaterials Science and Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Physics
- Psychological Sciences
- Public Health
- Quantitative and Systems Biology
Schedule: Bi-weekly upon mentor and mentee schedule
Dates: September 15 to December 12
Application deadline: September 3rd by 5pm (PST)
