Dissertation Bootcamp is an intensive workspace designed to provide dedicated and quiet writing space for students who are looking to jumpstart their dissertation, proposal, or paper writing process. Students can also sign up to meet one-on-one with writing consultants during the workshop. Breakfast and snacks will be provided.
The next Dissertation Bootcamp will be held June 9th - June 12th 2025. Applications will open in April 2025

Bootcamp Goals, Requirements & Resources
Goals:
- You will identify and use strategies that increase our writing productivity, and learn to avoid the most common time management mistakes graduate students make.
- You will develop a strategic plan for writing and degree completion that is consistent with your individual writing process and habits.
- You will develop a network of support and accountability for academic writing so that you can continue our productive and successful writing after Bootcamp ends.
Requirements:
- Attend Bootcamp every day, and write a minimum of four hours each day of Bootcamp.
- Participate in morning meetings designed to help you set goals, identify obstacles, manage writing time (and energy), avoid procrastination and perfectionism.
- Take breaks as needed.
- Complete and submit your productivity survey at the end of the workshop.
- Respect your fellow Bootcampers and help to create a quiet and productive writing space for everyone.
