Join nature enthusiasts from all over the Sierra Nevada region to learn California natural history. This course takes place over two long weekends, and for a small fee, can earn 4 UC credits.
The course is a survey of California forests, wildlife, geology, plants, water and conservation issues, among other topics. Course topics can be found here: http://calnat.ucanr.edu/
The first weekend is held June 14-16 at the Valentine Eastern Sierra Reserves in Mammoth Lakes. The second weekend is Aug. 16-18 at UC Merced's Yosemite Field Station in Wawona. Experts from around the region will give hands-on workshops and field trips. Your fellow students will include teachers, nonprofit leaders, land managers and naturalist volunteers from across California.
