Fresno State in partnership with University of California, Merced has a new NIH Bridges to Doctorate Graduate Fellowship program. It is funded by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) to promote the participation of underrepresented minority students in biomedical and behavioral sciences.
Interested and qualified students apply to the program and attend Fresno state for their Master's degrees. Fellows participate in a funded summer research program at UC Merced and receive individualized faculty mentorship and coaching for a successful transition into an appropriate doctoral program at UC Merced. Applications are due April 18, 2016.
