Thanks to a multimillion-dollar grant, the UC Nicotine and Cannabis Policy Center (NCPC) was recently established at UC Merced, positioning the university and the San Joaquin Valley as a leading center for the study of public health and policy matters related to tobacco and marijuana. NCPC Director Anna Song, a health psychology professor and expert in adolescent smoking behavior, will inform the gathering about the work being conducted to improve public health in the Valley.
The cost to attend the meeting is $20 for UFC members and $25 for guests. RSVP at our website, friendscircle.ucmerced.edu, by noon Thursday, Jan. 31. We welcome and encourage new members. Visit our website to find out more about us.
