University Friends Circle (UFC) February Luncheon

February 5, 2019 - 11:30am to 1:00pm

Thanks to a multimillion-dollar grant, the UC Nicotine and Cannabis Policy Center (NCPC) was recently established at UC Merced, positioning the university and the San Joaquin Valley as a leading center for the study of public health and policy matters related to tobacco and marijuana. NCPC Director Anna Song, a health psychology professor and expert in adolescent smoking behavior, will inform the gathering about the work being conducted to improve public health in the Valley.

The cost to attend the meeting is $20 for UFC members and $25 for guests. RSVP at our website, friendscircle.ucmerced.edu, by noon Thursday, Jan. 31. We welcome and encourage new members. Visit our website to find out more about us.

UFC’s mission is to enhance strong relationships between University of California Merced and communities of the Central Valley through programs that promote social and intellectual interaction.  University Friends Circle raises funds to support UC Merced endowed scholarships and a Student Impact Fund (SIF) that supports projects and students organizations that significantly contribute to UC Merced student success.
