Spring 2025 Professional Development Workshop Series

The Graduate Division invites graduate students to participate in two professional development workshop series focused on research and mentoring skills. Students are welcome to attend any sessions that interest them.

Entering Mentoring Workshop Series

Who Should Attend: Graduate Students (third year and above)
Format: Zoom
Time: Fridays, 9-10:30 a.m.

Graduate students who attend all four sessions of the Entering Mentoring workshop series will receive:

Entering Research Workshop Series

Who Should Attend: First and Second Year Graduate Students
Format: Zoom
Time: Fridays, 9-10:30 a.m.

Session Schedule:

  • March 7: Work/Life Balance & Coping Efficacy
  • March 14: Aligning Expectations & Maintaining Effective Communication
  • March 21: Research Experience Reflections & Research Self-Efficacy

How to Register

  1. Complete the Interest Form by Thursday, February 6 at 12:00 p.m.
  2. Selected participants will receive a confirmation email.
  3. Zoom links will be sent to registered participants before each session.

Additional Information

  • Each session is designed to be valuable as a standalone workshop
  • Sessions will be interactive and discussion-based
