From STEM Enthusiast to Sustainability Champion: Jose's Academic Journey
Jose Martinez's path to becoming a sustainability researcher at UC Merced began with a lifelong passion for STEM. "For as long as I can remember, I always had an interest in the STEM field," Jose recalled. This interest blossomed as he began helping others understand math fundamentals, creating and delivering statistics workshops at his local community college.
These experiences ignited a desire to delve deeper into the field and contribute to solving problems.
